If shotgun blues ends up being "the big one" on this album, then I'd be a little disappointed, because although it kicks ass and sounds raw, it's not GREAT, it doesn't have sharp hooks and instant appeal, but it will sound even better after a week of listening. It's a good rocker, but not a top tier track like Maybelline/Doc Holliday/Hangman. Shotgun Blues is getting us back to RTR-MTD vibes, it's groovy and heavy, and I do dig it, but it's not a true gem. It's so bland and uninteresting, the Chora-echo effect is unappealing, and I just do not want to hear it ever again. Dagen For sucks, I'm sorry but it's crap. I like it, but I'm not in the mood for it on a new album that's trying to move beyond RRR. Let's look forward to Servant of the Mind: - Wait a minute my girl might as well be on RRR, it doesn't belong on a new, heavy album. Anger", I hope SOTM is closer to "And justice for all" If Volbeat was Metallica, RRR was their "St. "When we were kids" is some of the worst generic crap I've ever heard. I like some acoustic rock, and I LOVE when volbeat goes country acoustic like in Sad Man's Tongue, but RRR took us to bland, boring, radio rock level acoustic, and I personally hated it, I think most of us did. I respect and appreciate Michael and the band for trying something new, but they put out a real boring dud. The rest of RRR was so bland, boring, uninspiring and tried too hard. There are 5 solid songs on RRR: - LDUTS - Pelvis on Fire - Sloggers - Die to Live - Maybe I Believe I cannot include parasite as an actual song - it's a catchy, cool, meaningless filler fluff song, I like it, but it barely counts as anything. Let's take a little look back before we go forward, shall we? Okay, I admit it, I defended RRR at first, but then after a solid week or two of listening I got on board and realized what crap it mostly was.
